Diploma in Peace and Development
A Diploma in Peace and Development equips learners with essential knowledge and skills to understand the causes of conflict, apply effective resolution strategies such as mediation and negotiation, and integrate development practices into peacebuilding efforts. The course emphasizes ethical values, critical thinking, and cultural sensitivity, preparing students to actively contribute to peace processes and sustainable development at local, national, and global levels.
This diploma explores the interconnection between peace and development, emphasizing the root causes and consequences of conflict and how they influence social, political, and economic stability. Learners gain both theoretical and practical skills in conflict analysis, negotiation, mediation, and reconciliation. The program covers key themes including social justice, human rights, gender and conflict, humanitarian intervention, and post-conflict reconstruction.
